Close out the summer with the Labor Day Coastal Half Marathon, a scenic Long Beach shoreline race along the historic Long Beach waterfront and Shoreline Drive.
The Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K all start and finish at Rainbow Harbor. The Half Marathon route follows Shoreline Drive and the waterfront bike path out toward Belmont Shore and back; the 10K covers the first half of that out-and-back; the 5K loops Rainbow Harbor and Shoreline Village. Flat and fast, with ocean views for most of the course.

Parking available in the Aquarium of the Pacific and Shoreline Village lots, plus street parking along Ocean Blvd. Event-day rates apply; arrive by 6am for best availability.
Packet pickup: Thursday, September 3 – Friday, September 4 (11am–6pm) at the Long Beach Convention Center, and race morning from 6am–7am at Rainbow Harbor.
Aid stations planned every 2 miles along the Half Marathon and 10K courses, one water stop for the 5K, with a finish-line hydration and recovery snack tent for all distances.
Medical tent at the Rainbow Harbor start/finish, with a roving medical bike team planned for the Half Marathon course.
Awards ceremony planned for 9:15am at the Rainbow Harbor stage — top 3 overall and age-group awards across all three distances.
Volunteer sign-ups are open now for course marshals, aid stations, and the finish chute — reach out through the event page to join the crew.

7:00am – Half Marathon start
7:15am – 10K start
7:30am – 5K start
9:15am – Awards ceremony
When does registration close? August 31, 2026, or when the field caps at 500 runners, whichever comes first.
Is there race-day registration? Not planned this year — register online in advance.
Is the course dog-friendly? The 5K only, leashed dogs welcome.
